Project Management PDF Print E-mail

A Project Manager (PM) is assigned to every Lazero° project; this PM liaises with the client and manages members of the project development team via the Project Management System (PMS).

The first task of the PM is to define a thorough Project Management Plan (PMP) with the following:

  • Project Analysis & Design
    • Requirements Analysis
    • Budget Assessment
    • Timeline & Milestone Definition
    • Technology Definition
  • Communication Plan
    • This is the definition of the communication mechanism between team members across their different geographic locations. This could range from instant messaging, emails, SMS, web conferencing, video conferencing, phone and other communication tools. This process also involves daily status reporting via a defined communication means (also specifying an alternate communication mechanism)
  • Task Assignment
    • The PM assigns tasks to the individual project members (including the client). We use project management software available on our extranet for all project members to collaborate and synchronize files.
  • Project Audit Plan
    • The project is examined against requirements based on a defined Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) detailing all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Project Scope Matrix
    • This consists of complete definition of the main project objectives, milestone and timeline to be achieved.
  • Software Configuration Management Plan
    • The PM defines what tools and techniques are to be used for software version control, builds and releases.
  • Change Control Process
    • At this point the PM defines the process of requesting a change by the client to the scope or requirements of the project and how to reach sign off by both client and Lazero° project team.
